Development, injection moulding, thermoforming, finishing, assembly and shipping are all located on one site in East Westphalia — on Lemgoer Straße since 1962. No outsourced production: short distances in-house and full control over quality and deadlines.
The site has grown with its tasks: our own logistics centre went into operation in 2015, and a photovoltaic system covers part of our electricity needs. Because development, production and shipping stay under one roof, changes can be made even while a project is running, without an external manufacturer having to catch up.

It started with combs.
From celluloid goods factory to packaging manufacturer.
- 1907 Founded in Ohrsen as “Lippische Celluloidwaren Fabrik”.
- 1937 Heinrich Horstmann merges three celluloid companies.
- 1951 The first injection moulding machine — celluloid gives way to plastic.
- 1962 Move to Lemgoer Straße, still our location today.
- 1983 Heinrich Horstmann joins as managing partner.
- 2007 100 years of LICEFA — a century in family hands.
- 2015 The new logistics centre goes into operation.
- 2019 Renamed “Licefa GmbH & Co. KG”.
- 2025 Christian Schmidt takes over as managing director.
