3. Children
This online service is not directed at children under the age of 16. If contact is made with us via this site, the minor must confirm that they have reached the age of 16. If this is not the case, parental consent is required for making contact and for the associated data processing via this site.
We would like to point out at this stage that content from third-party providers (e.g. Google Maps) is embedded on this site, through which these third-party providers collect and process data when this site is accessed. In this respect, we refer to section 6 of this notice and the information given there on the data protection of these third-party providers, including options for revocation and settings.
4. Data collection on our website / legal bases / storage period
As a matter of principle, we only process personal data of our users insofar as this is necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. The processing of our users’ personal data regularly takes place only with the user’s consent. An exception applies in cases where obtaining prior consent is not possible for factual reasons and the processing of the data is permitted by statutory provisions.
a) Data collection when visiting our website / server log data
When you access our website licefa.de/en, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to the server of our website. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until it is automatically deleted:
- IP address of the requesting computer
- Date and time of access
- Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
- Name and URL of the retrieved file (specific page retrieved)
- Website from which access is made (referrer URL)
- Access status/HTTP status code
- browser used (including language and version of the browser software) and
- where applicable, the operating system of your computer and its interface as well as the name of your access provider
- amount of data transferred in each case
This data is not merged with other data sources.
Storage in log files takes place to ensure the functionality of the website. In addition, the data helps us to optimise the website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. Our legitimate interest in data processing pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR also lies in these purposes. The data is not evaluated for marketing purposes.
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. In the case of data collected to provide the website, this is the case when the respective session has ended. In the case of data stored in log files, this is the case after 14 days at the latest. Storage beyond this is possible. In this case, the users’ IP addresses are deleted or anonymised so that the accessing client can no longer be identified.
The collection of data to provide the website and the storage of data in log files is essential for the operation of the website. Consequently, the user has no option to object.
b) Data processing through cookies
Our website uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored in the internet browser or by the internet browser on the user’s computer system. When a user visits a website, a cookie may be stored on the user’s operating system. This cookie contains a characteristic character string that enables the browser to be uniquely identified when the website is visited again.
Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or a notice always appears before a new cookie is created. Completely deactivating cookies may, however, mean that you cannot use all the functions of our website. You can find further information about cookies and how to set your browser if you do not want to allow cookies here http://www.allaboutcookies.org/ge/
We use “session cookies” to make our website more user-friendly. Some elements of our website require that the accessing browser can be identified even after a page change. The following data, for example, is stored and transmitted in the cookies:
- Storage of a login status
- Completion of multi-page forms
- Temporary storage of user input
- Display status of controls
- Search parameters
Cookies that are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions you have requested are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of our services. If you have read and accepted the notice on our homepage regarding the use of cookies, you also consent to the processing of data through cookies pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. If you accept the use of cookies, a so-called accept cookie is set in this case, which itself has no further content than the information that the cookie was clicked and the setting of session cookies was permitted.
Cookies are stored on the user’s computer and transmitted from it to our site. As a user, you therefore also have full control over the use of cookies. By changing the settings in your internet browser, you can deactivate or restrict the transmission of cookies. Cookies that have already been stored can be deleted at any time. This can also be done automatically. If cookies are deactivated for our website, it may no longer be possible to use all functions of the website to their full extent.
You can also delete all cookies already stored via your browser at any time. Please refer to the help functions of your browser for this. However, this may also mean that individual functions are no longer available to you. In addition, the following website offers the option of managing and deactivating the use of cookies by third-party providers: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement . This website is not operated by us, so we are not responsible and have no influence on its content and availability.
c) Processing of your data to answer your questions, to perform contracts and for customer retention
Via our site, we offer you the option of contacting us via the contact form and/or by email. If you wish to use this option, the information you provide will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions.
The data entered in the contact form is initially processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. An informal email to info@licefa.de is sufficient for this. The lawfulness of the data processing operations carried out before the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation. The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – also remain unaffected. If the data processing is based not only on your consent to answer a question, but in particular also on the fulfilment of pre-contractual or contractual matters, the following explanations apply.
If your contact is aimed at concluding a contract with us, the data processing is (also) based on the legal basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) for the pre-contractual and/or contractual processing of enquiries and in any case also on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR through a legitimate interest in processing the enquiry and in the possible establishment and/or maintenance of a customer relationship. The personal data you provide will be treated confidentially and used only for the purpose for which you provided it to us or for whose use and disclosure you have given us your consent.
The personal data collected to answer your enquiry or to establish and perform a contractual relationship is stored until the enquiry has been fully processed or until the contract has been fulfilled and is then deleted, unless we are obliged to store it for longer pursuant to Article 6 (1) sentence 1 (c) GDPR due to retention and documentation obligations under tax and commercial law (from HGB, StGB or AO) or you have consented to storage beyond this pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (a) GDPR.
Data processed for customer retention on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR is processed until the legitimate interest no longer applies and is then deleted, at the latest when you declare an objection to the data processing. Statutory retention obligations are also observed with regard to this data.
d) Registration on this website
You can register on our website to use additional functions on the site. We use the data entered for this purpose only for the purpose of using the respective offer or service for which you have registered. The mandatory information requested during registration must be provided in full. Otherwise, we will reject the registration.
For important changes, for example to the scope of our offer or technically necessary changes, we use the email address provided during registration to inform you in this way.
The data entered during registration is processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can revoke any consent you have given at any time. An informal email to info@licefa.de is sufficient for this. The lawfulness of the data processing already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
The data collected during registration is stored by us for as long as you are registered on our website and is deleted thereafter. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
e) Newsletter / tracking via Newsletter2Go
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data is not collected or is collected only on a voluntary basis. We use this data to send the requested information, for which we use the provider Newsletter2GO, which, on our behalf, also analyses, among other things, whether the newsletter has been opened.
Newsletter2Go
This website uses Newsletter2Go to send newsletters. The provider is Newsletter2Go GmbH, Nürnberger Straße 8, 10787 Berlin, Germany. Newsletter2Go is a service that can be used, among other things, to organise and analyse the sending of newsletters. The data you enter for the purpose of receiving the newsletter is stored on our behalf on the servers of Newsletter2Go in Germany.
If you do not want Newsletter2Go to analyse your data, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter.
We provide a corresponding link in every newsletter message for this purpose. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter directly on the website.
Data analysis by Newsletter2Go
With the help of Newsletter2Go, we are able to analyse our newsletter campaigns. For example, we can see whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, have been clicked. In this way, we can determine, among other things, which links were clicked particularly often.
We can also see whether certain previously defined actions were carried out after opening/clicking (conversion rate). For example, we can see whether you made a purchase after clicking on the newsletter.
Newsletter2Go also enables us to divide newsletter recipients into different categories (“clustering”). Newsletter recipients can be divided, for example, by age, gender or place of residence. In this way, the newsletters can be better adapted to the respective target groups.
Detailed information on the functions of Newsletter2Go can be found at the following link: https://www.newsletter2go.de/features/newsletter-software/ .
Legal basis
The data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
Storage period
The data you have stored with us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and, after you unsubscribe, will be deleted both from our servers and from the servers of Newsletter2Go. Data stored with us for other purposes (e.g. email addresses for the members’ area) remains unaffected.
For further details, please refer to the privacy policy of Newsletter2Go at: https://www.newsletter2go.de/features/datenschutz-2/ .
Conclusion of a data processing agreement
We have concluded a contract with Newsletter2Go in which we oblige Newsletter2Go to protect our customers’ data and not to pass it on to third parties. This contract can be viewed at the following link: https://www.newsletter2go.de/docs/datenschutz/ADV_Muster_Newsletter2Go_GmbH_latest_Form.pdf?x48278 .
f) Job applications
Unfortunately, we have no vacancies and therefore do not accept applications.
5. Disclosure of data
Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those listed below. We only pass on your personal data to third parties if:
- you have given your express consent to this pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (a) GDPR
- this is legally permissible and necessary pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (b) GDPR for the performance of contractual relationships with you
- in the event that there is a legal obligation for the disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (c) GDPR, and
- the disclosure is necessary pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (f) GDPR for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding legitimate interest in your data not being disclosed
In particular, we pass on your data if this is necessary in the course of processing the contract, for example to the companies entrusted with delivering the goods or to the credit institution commissioned with processing payments. Data is not transferred beyond this, or only if you have expressly consented to the transfer. The legal basis for data processing here is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures.
If we make an advance performance, e.g. in the case of a purchase on account, we may obtain a credit report based on mathematical-statistical methods from Creditreform Boniversum GmbH, Hellersbergstr. 11, 41460 Neuss, to safeguard our legitimate interests. For this purpose, we transmit the required personal data to Creditreform Boniversum GmbH and use the information received on the statistical probability of a payment default for a balanced decision on the establishment, performance or termination of the contractual relationship. The credit report may contain probability values (score values) which are calculated on the basis of scientifically recognised mathematical-statistical methods and whose calculation includes, among other things, address data. Your legitimate interests are taken into account in accordance with the statutory provisions. We will also transmit data to the named company on the basis of conduct in breach of contract, insofar as this is legally permissible after weighing all interests concerned. They store and transmit the data to their contractual partners in the EU single market in order to provide them with this information for assessing the creditworthiness of natural persons. You can obtain information from Creditreform Boniversum GmbH about the stored data concerning you. Further information on the information and scoring procedure is available at www.meineauskunft.org.
Insofar as we use external service providers to process your data and they receive access to your personal data (such as our IT service provider), we have carefully selected and commissioned them; they are bound by our instructions, are regularly monitored and, like us, must ensure through their own technical and organisational measures that your data is processed in accordance with your fundamental rights and freedoms.
6. Data processing when using maps / other tools from external providers
It may happen that content or services from third-party providers, such as city maps, or the YouTube platform are embedded within our online offering.
The embedding of third-party content always requires that the third-party providers are aware of the users’ IP address, as without the IP address they could not send the content to the users’ browser. The IP address is therefore required to display this content. Furthermore, the providers of the third-party content may set their own cookies and process the users’ data for their own purposes. User profiles may be created from the processed data. We will use this content in as data-economical and data-avoiding a manner as possible and will choose reliable third-party providers with regard to data security.
a) Maps from the Google Maps service
On our website, we use Google Maps (API) from Google LLC., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Maps is a web service for displaying interactive maps in order to present geographical information visually. By using this service, our location is shown to you and any journey to us is made easier. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
As soon as you access those subpages in which the Google Maps map is embedded, information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is transmitted to Google servers in the USA and stored there. This happens regardless of whether Google provides a user account via which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not want your data to be assigned to your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data (even for users who are not logged in) as usage profiles and evaluates them. Such evaluation takes place in particular pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR on the basis of Google’s legitimate interests in displaying personalised advertising, market research and/or designing its website to meet requirements.
You have a right to object to the creation of these user profiles; to exercise this right, you must contact Google directly. Please read the privacy policy of Google at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy. The option to object (opt-out) should be accessible via the following link: www.google.com/settings/ads/. Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified under the US-European data protection agreement “Privacy Shield”, which, according to the (criticised) view of the EU Commission, guarantees compliance with the level of data protection applicable in the EU https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active .
If you do not agree to the future transfer of your data to Google in connection with the use of Google Maps, you can also deactivate the Google Maps web service completely by switching off the JavaScript application in your browser. Google Maps, and therefore also the map display on this website, can then not be used.
You can view the terms of use of Google at http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/terms/regional.html; the additional terms of use for Google Maps can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/de_US/help/terms_maps.html
Detailed information on data protection in connection with the use of Google Maps can be found on the Google website (“Google Privacy Policy”): http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/
b) YouTube
On our website, we also use embedded content (plugins / videos) from the YouTube site operated by Google. The sites are operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. If you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin (e.g. our corporate film), a connection to the YouTube servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account. YouTube is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offering. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Further information on the handling of user data can be found in the privacy policy of YouTube at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy .
7. Rights of data subjects
You have the right
- pursuant to Art. 7 (3) GDPR, to revoke your consent once given to us at any time. As a result, we may no longer continue the data processing based on this consent in the future;
- pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR, to request information as to whether we process personal data concerning you. If this is the case, you can in particular request further information about the purposes of processing, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right to lodge a complaint, the origin of your data if it was not collected by us, and the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, where applicable, meaningful information about its details;
- pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR, to request without delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data or the completion of your personal data stored by us;
- pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR, to request the erasure of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary for exercising the right to freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims;
- pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR, to request the restriction of processing of your personal data insofar as you dispute the accuracy of the data, the processing is unlawful but you refuse its erasure and we no longer need the data, but you need it for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, or you have objected to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR;
- pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR, to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request its transfer to another controller and
- pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR, to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or workplace or of our company headquarters for this purpose. The competent supervisory authority for data protection matters is the state data protection commissioner of the federal state in which our company has its registered office. A list of the data protection commissioners and their contact details can be found at the following link: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html
8. Right to object
If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, provided there are grounds arising from your particular situation. If you wish to exercise your right to object, an email to info@licefa.de or written notification to the controller named in section 1 is sufficient.
9. Data security / SSL or TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser bar. When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties. We also use suitable technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
10. Validity and changes to this privacy policy
This privacy policy is currently valid and was last updated in September 2025. Due to the further development of our website and the offers on it, or due to changes in legal or regulatory requirements, it may become necessary to amend this privacy policy. You can access and print out the current privacy policy at any time on the website licefa.de/en/legal-notice/data-privacy.
