Pad PrintingStrong on shape. Precise in detail.

Precise printing, even on curved and uneven surfaces

With pad printing, we apply high-quality designs even to hard-to-reach or uneven surfaces of our packaging. The process is particularly suitable for precise, repeatable print images in series.

Ready for series production

Repeatable across the entire print run – from small batches to large-scale production.

Industrial printing

Robust marking directly on your plastic parts.

Precise on complex shapes

Placed exactly, even on small, curved and uneven surfaces.

Pad printing on plastic – precise on shape and detail

In pad printing, the design is first applied to an etched cliché and picked up from there with a flexible silicone pad. Because the pad adapts to the surface, the print also reaches curved, uneven or recessed surfaces that are difficult to print in other ways.

The process delivers repeatable results across the entire print run – from the first to the last part. This makes it particularly suitable for small, highly contoured components and for the precise placement of logos, scales or markings in tight spaces.

Printing is done in-house, matched to material, shape and print position. On request, you receive your product in your individual design (private labelling).

FAQ on pad printing

What is pad printing?
Pad printing is an indirect printing process: the design is first applied to an etched printing plate (cliché), picked up from there with a flexible silicone pad and transferred to the product. Because the pad adapts to the shape, even curved, uneven and hard-to-reach surfaces can be printed precisely and repeatably.
What is the difference between pad printing and screen printing?
Screen printing is particularly suitable for flat or slightly curved surfaces and delivers opaque, robust results. Pad printing shows its strengths on curved, uneven or small components and places designs precisely even in tight spaces. Which process is right depends on shape, substrate, design and quantity.
On which surfaces is pad printing possible?
Pad printing is particularly suitable for curved, uneven, recessed or hard-to-reach surfaces and for small, highly contoured components. Which materials, inks and pre-treatments are suitable depends on the material; we clarify this with you in advance.
How durable is pad printing?
When used properly, pad printing is highly resistant to normal handling. How scratch- and smudge-resistant the print is in a specific application depends on material, ink and stress. For heavily stressed markings, we will be happy to advise you on the right choice of ink and process.
From what quantity is pad printing worthwhile?
Pad printing is suitable for everything from small batches to large-scale production and delivers repeatable results across the entire print run. As one cliché is made per colour, the process is particularly worthwhile for recurring designs. Tell us what you need – together we will find the most cost-effective solution.
What documents do you need for a print enquiry?
Ideally, send us your logo or design as a vector file (e.g. AI, EPS or PDF) or as a high-resolution image file, together with details of colours, print position, quantity and product. If only pixel data are available, we check their suitability and help you prepare them for print.
