Corporate policy
Quality, responsibility and environmentally conscious action are the foundation of our work — set out in twelve principles by which we let ourselves be measured.
Our standards.
Achieving high quality standards for our products is our company’s top priority. By introducing and maintaining a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, we put this standard into practice. The system works preventively: potential defects are assessed before a new product reaches the market.
Compliance with statutory regulations matters to us just as much as working with our suppliers on their quality standards and continuously improving our own performance. The aim is to bring suppliers, employees, customers and product quality together as a shared corporate task.
Twelve principles.
Customer and employee focus
Our goal is to meet our customers’ specifications. For this reason, every process step in the company is reviewed regularly. Systematic recruitment, targeted training and further education and reliable terms of employment, combined with the encouragement of personal initiative, make our employees competent, committed and responsible contacts. Well-trained people and up-to-date technologies help us to work efficiently and with a clear customer focus.
Product and process quality
Every item we produce, we want to produce well. Within clear targets, we work together with all our employees to meet our obligations towards our customers and their quality requirements. We always consider products and processes from the point of view of environmental protection and the resource-saving use of energy and materials: preventive measures are intended to keep environmental risks and negative effects on the environment as low as possible.
Environment and energy
We treat natural resources with care. We reduce energy consumption wherever we can and avoid pollution. What we do in concrete terms is described under Materials & Responsibility.
Continuous improvement
Continuous improvement is a goal of our daily work — in every area of the company. Through planning and suitable preventive measures, we avoid or reduce defects before they occur. The consistent implementation of our quality policy thus also secures the company’s profitability and growth.
Meeting requirements and expectations
We ensure that applicable legal obligations and other requirements and expectations are taken into account and met — at national and international level. Every employee is obliged to observe the law and is personally responsible for compliance with the regulations in their own area of work. Violations of the law must be avoided under all circumstances, even if this results in economic disadvantages.
Protection of personal data
Secure information processing and the protection of personal data play an essential role in our company. Our employees receive regular training in data protection and information security and are committed to observing them. We use the contact details we hold for working with our customers. We only pass data on to service providers where this is necessary to process an order — for example to shipping and payment service providers. Which providers these are in detail is set out in our privacy policy. A data protection officer is responsible for compliance and implementation.
Code of conduct
Our lasting success is based on the corporate values we have lived by since our foundation in 1907: dynamism, reliability and progress. As a values-driven family business, we set high standards for ourselves. At LICEFA, responsibility towards employees, customers, business partners, the environment and society is everyday practice. Our code of conduct sets out the fundamental principles and defines the framework within which we intend to act.
Employees as representatives of the company
Every employee is aware that our actions and conduct are perceived as those of representatives of the company. Through our work, we support the company’s economic success and contribute to a positive image of LICEFA.
Fair competition, antitrust law and corruption
We observe the rules of fair competition without exception; we refrain from exchanging sensitive information — prices, price changes, margins and discounts. Antitrust laws applicable worldwide are binding for us. Corruption and attempted corruption of any kind, including extortion and bribery, and any other unlawful practices are not tolerated.
Sustainability and human rights
Protecting the environment, respecting human rights and protecting health form an essential part of our social responsibility. LICEFA expressly commits to upholding human rights within its own sphere of influence and to not being involved, directly or indirectly, in human rights violations. We reject all forms of forced and child labour; all work must be performed voluntarily. We also expect our suppliers to treat all people with respect and fairness.
We ensure fair working conditions and a healthy, safe working environment, and we comply with the statutory regulations on pay, working hours, health and safety at work and the protection of privacy. All employees have the right to equal treatment and equal opportunities. Any form of discrimination is prohibited — for example on the grounds of gender, age, religion, belief, ethnic or national origin, nationality, social background, disability, membership of employee organisations including trade unions, political views or sexual orientation.
Confidential information and intellectual property
All employees help to protect LICEFA’s intellectual property. Intellectual property is a valuable asset and a foundation of our success: inventions, prototypes, production concepts, software, information about customers and suppliers, and other trade secrets. Confidential information must not be disclosed to unauthorised persons.
Whistleblower protection
Anyone can report violations to us via our website. Every report is reviewed, assessed and processed without revealing the identity of the persons concerned. To ensure compliance with the legal requirements, we work with an external reporting office; you will find the link in the footer of this page.
